Free Course on Judicial Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure
CEAD Francisco Suárez announces the opening of the Free Course on Judicial Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure, a free and online training program starting on April 16, 2026.
This training is the result of a partnership between CEAD Francisco Suárez and the Oporto Court of Appeal (Tribunal da Relação do Porto), and is primarily intended for legal professionals (Jurists, Lawyers, and Magistrates), as well as Law students, regardless of their academic degree.
The course has the virtue of combining science and art, articulating an academic perspective with judicial experience. To this end, the sessions will be carried out by Academics and Magistrates, covering modules on Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law, namely: Corruption, Organized Crime, Domestic Violence, Hate Speech, Crimes against Minors, Leniency Law (Direito Premial), Impartiality of the Courts, Prohibitions of Evidence, Appeals, among other current topics. The course will take place in an online format, with the exception of the opening and closing sessions, which will take place in a hybrid format.
Calendar
Scheduling Opening Session: April 16, 2026, at 5:30 PM, at the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Lusófona University – Porto University Centre (Rua Alexandre Herculano, 123, Porto).
Closing Session: June 12, 2026, at 5:30 PM, at the Oporto Court of Appeal. The course schedule will be made available soon.

At the end of the course, certificates of participation will be issued to all those who achieve a minimum attendance of 75% of the sessions.
