II International Congress on Labor Law – UniFafire and Lusófona University

13th and 14 may 2026

The UniFafire University Center and Lusófona University invite researchers, students, and legal professionals to participate in the International Congress on Fundamental Labor Rights—an academic forum that will bring together experts from Brazil, Portugal, and Cape Verde to reflect on the contemporary challenges of the world of work.

  • Location: Recife – headquarters of the UniFafire University Center

  • Hybrid format: in-person participation and online streaming with the Lusophone scientific community

Central Theme

“Are we in an era of extinction of fundamental labor rights? Lusophone perspectives on the issue.”

The congress aims to discuss the progress, setbacks, and reconfigurations of fundamental labor rights, considering the social, economic, and technological transformations that impact labor relations in Portuguese-speaking countries.

Academic Production

Researchers may submit extended abstracts and scientific articles. Accepted papers will be included in an international collective publication, scheduled for release in the second half of 2026.
