José León Alapont

Professor of Criminal Law at the University of Valencia since November 2023. Ph.D. in Law from the University of Valencia (2019), with bachelor’s degrees in Law and Political Science (2014). Master's in Criminal Justice System (2015). He has held research positions, including a Pre-doctoral FPU contract from the Ministry of Science and Universities (2015-2019). Currently, teaches in the Cybercrime Master's at UOC and other Spanish universities.

He has conducted research stays in Italy at the University of Trento and the University of Modena e Reggio Emilia. He is the Principal Investigator for two major research projects funded by the Spanish government. He has published 43 articles, 24 book chapters, and 6 monographs, with translations in Portuguese and Italian, and participated in over 70 national and international conferences and taught courses at various institutions, including the University of Salamanca and University of Barcelona.

He directs the "Compliance" book series and the ReCrim Journal and has directed 5 educational innovation projects at the University of Valencia.

Her Research Stay will take place between 03/06/2025 and 12/09/2025, with Professor Inês Fernandes Godinho serving as her supervisor during this period.
