Carlos González León has been a Professor at the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid (Spain) since 2016. He holds a PhD in Law from Rey Juan Carlos University, with a thesis entitled "Criminal Law of Terrorism: A Further Step in the Exception to the Guarantees of the Rule of Law?", which received the distinction of "sobresaliente cum laude" and the Extraordinary Award.
He also holds degrees in Criminology and Law, as well as a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice (Criminal and Procedural Law).
He has published a monograph and several articles on topics such as terrorism, gender-based violence, road safety, cybercrime, and artificial intelligence.
His Research Stay took place from May 10, 2024, to January 22, 2025, and focused on various themes, including gender-based violence, medical law, restorative justice, and artificial intelligence.
