Anne Schneider
Anne Schneider (born in 1983 in Wuppertal) began studying law in 2002 at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster and completed her First Legal Examination in 2007. In 2008, she earned a Master of Laws in Commercial Law from the University of the West of England. She obtained her doctorate (Dr. jur.) in 2010 in Münster with a dissertation on "Behavioral Norms in International Criminal Law." She passed the Second State Examination in Law in 2012 at the State Judicial Examination Office in Düsseldorf.
In 2018, she completed her habilitation under Martin Böse at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn with a thesis on "Criminal Procedural Investigative Measures and the Right to Refuse Testimony," earning the venia legendi (authorization to teach) for Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, International and European Criminal Law, Comparative Criminal Law, and Business Criminal Law. Following a temporary professorship in Criminal Law at the University of Bremen during the summer semester of 2018, Anne Schneider accepted a position in September as Chair of German, European, and International Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, and Business Law at the University of Mannheim.
She began her teaching and research activities at the Faculty of Law in Düsseldorf on October 1.
She is also a co-editor of the Journal for Comprehensive Procedural Law (Zeitschrift für das gesamte Verfahrensrecht).
