Call for Papers – Seminar of Young Researchers in Labour Law

With regard to the issues surrounding the transfer of an undertaking or establishment in Labour Law, taking into account the legislative amendments to the Labour Code and the national case law as well as the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union, CEAD is organising a Seminar whose main objective is to provide the community of junior researchers in Labour Law with the opportunity to share, discuss and reflect on studies, papers or scientific research related to the issues of this legal topic under debate.

Participation in the seminar is open to all young researchers in the field of Labour Law from Portuguese and foreign universities, namely master’s students, PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in Law, regardless of the year of study. The sessions and thematic presentations will be conducted by the young researchers who submit abstracts of their studies or research projects, for debate and discussion with a moderator who will lead and stimulate the discussion. Submission of these abstracts implies a commitment to the subsequent submission of the full paper for possible publication.

The thematic axes of the papers and debate are as follows:

Axis I – Effects of the transfer of an undertaking or establishment
Axis II – Information and consultation of workers and workers’ representatives
Axis III – Right of opposition
Axis IV – Case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union

Each researcher may submit only one research paper.

All those interested in learning about and discussing the topic under debate may attend the seminar, subject to prior registration.

Participation in the seminar is free of charge, subject to registration. Participation will be certified by the organising body.
