The book "State, Civil Society, and Charities" authored by Professor António Tavares, an integrated researcher at the CEAD Francisco Suárez, has been published.
This work includes a preface by D. Américo Aguiar, then Auxiliary Bishop of Lisbon, who states:
"We need, as if 'bread for the mouth,' men and women who can speak to us about the importance of renewed relationships between civil society and social solidarity institutions, a greater and better awareness of corporate responsibility, the importance of Family in all fields, from Education to Work, being capable of new mental and social agility in organizing Time. There is a time for everything, as Scripture tells us, and this is a language that the author understands perfectly because he seeks to make it Life.
In addition to asking you to read this book slowly, pausing to reflect or to recall this or that event, I appreciate the hope that permeates the writing of so many pages. We need this Hope, this confidence, this determination to seek the Good, to do better, to empower hearts and minds in favor of Others."
