Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 on markets in cryptoassets (MiCA) seeks to respond to (i) the lack of a European Union regulatory framework for cryptoassets that do not qualify as financial instruments; (ii) the notorious lack of trust among users in the cryptoactive market; and (iii) the lack of legal security for companies that provide services related to cryptoactives.
Given the importance of this diploma for the financial system, it is intended to systematically aggregate the contribution of several authors who have already demonstrated that they have reflected on the opportunities and challenges of the cryptoactive market. In this way, this work offers the reader a detailed and structured analysis of MiCA.
