1820 – Revista de Ciência Política is a biannual publication of the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the Lusófona University – Oporto University Center.
It is an academic and scientific journal, whose main purpose is to publish articles on Political Science, Philosophy, History and other related Human and Social Sciences, such as Economics, International Relations and Sociology, among others.
Its editorial orientation will be guided by absolute scientific rigor and complete political and ideological independence from the constituted powers, as well as respect for the deontological principles applicable to a publication of this type.
The magazine will have as its matrix reference the fundamental values of the democratic rule of law that the revolution of 24th of August of 1820 introduced in Portugal.
