Integrated Researchers
Filipe Pinto Grilo
Filipe Macedo Pinto Grilo completed his PhD in Economics at the School of Economics and Management, University of Porto (FEP), in January 2021.
Since 2016, I have been working as a teaching assistant at FEP and collaborated several times with Porto Business School. Recently, I have been collaborating with Universidade Lusófona and Águeda School of Technology and Management, University of Aveiro. I have published seven scientific articles in International and Portuguese journals. The most cited paper is “The Use of Game Theory in Regional Economics: a quantitative retrospective” with twelve citations. This article was published in Papers in Regional Science, a top-field journal. I have also used my econometric knowledge to contribute to other scientific areas (mainly medicine, sports, and politics). Because of that experience, I have presented several papers in international conferences, and I have published eight scientific articles. I have co-founded a start-up that applies machine learning and macroeconometric techniques to forecast commodities’ prices.
