The Permanent Seminar on Current Legal Issues is a monthly event organized by the second cycle of studies in Law (Master’s programmes) at FDCP. Its purpose is to engage the target audience of these programmes, as well as other relevant audiences, with the wide range of problems, issues, and controversies that characterize today’s legal landscape.
We therefore invite the entire academic and professional community to take part in another session of the Permanent Seminar “Current Legal Issues”, dedicated to the topic “Dismissal: A Regime under Strain,” to be held on 26 February 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
The session will feature Professor Joana Neto, Assistant Professor at FDCP and Guest Assistant Professor at the School of Law of the University of Minho, who will address the main current challenges and tensions within the legal regime of dismissal, in light of legislative developments, case law, and changes in the labour market.
