Permanent Seminar “Current Legal Issues” – Artificial Intelligence and its Social, Legal and Environmental Impacts
15th of december 2026
The Permanent Seminar on Current Legal Issues is a monthly event organized by the 2nd Cycle of Legal Studies (Master’s Programs) of FDCP, through which we aim to motivate the target audience of this study cycle, as well as other relevant audiences, to engage with the diversity of problems, questions, and controversies in today’s legal landscape.
In this context, we invite the entire academic and professional community to participate in another session of the Permanent Seminar “Current Legal Issues” dedicated to the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Its Social, Legal, and Environmental Impacts”.
As Artificial Intelligence becomes increasingly present in social structures, decision-making processes, and economic and environmental dynamics, the need to critically reflect on its challenges and opportunities grows. This seminar aims to promote interdisciplinary dialogue and foster a comprehensive understanding of the transformations currently underway.
The event will feature Professor Wilson Engelmann, a renowned specialist in the field, holding a PhD and Master’s degree in Public Law; Professor and Researcher in the Graduate Program in Law – Master’s and Doctorate, and in the Professional Master’s in Business and Corporate Law at the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS), Brazil; and Associate Researcher at CEAD Francisco Suárez. His academic and research work offers an in-depth analysis of the impacts of technology and innovation on Law, and he is considered an international reference on the subject.
The event will take place online and is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Upon registration, you will receive the Zoom link directly from our organizing team.
