CEAD Francisco Suárez invites the entire academic community and the general public to the Open Lecture “Police and Human Rights”, to be held on November 4, 2025, at 6:45 PM, in Room C1.1 at Lusófona University – CUP, located on Rua Alexandre Herculano (New Campus).
This session will feature a special guest, Nuno Poiares, University Professor and Researcher at ICPOL-ISCPSI and CIDPCC-FDUL, Deputy to the Minister of Internal Administration in the XXV Constitutional Government and Internal Security Advisor to the Prime Minister in the XXIV Constitutional Government.
The speaker will offer a critical and up-to-date reflection on the challenges and responsibilities of police forces within the framework of human rights, in light of the contemporary legal, political, and social context.
The lecture will also be broadcast online via Microsoft Teams. Participation is free and open to all interested parties.
