Open Lecture - Linked Contracts in Consumer Credit: Interdependence, Protection and Digital Challenges

CEAD Francisco Suárez will host an Open Lecture on 9 April 2026 at 10:30 a.m., entitled “Linked Contracts in Consumer Credit: Interdependence, Protection and Digital Challenges”, with particular emphasis on the influence of European law in this field.

The session will take place in Room -1.1 of the Faculty of Law and Political Science and will feature Mariana Cunha Marques, jurist and Master of Laws, who will address the main legal challenges arising from consumer credit operations structured through linked contracts, as well as the mechanisms for consumer protection in light of European directives and the digital evolution of the financial sector.

This Open Lecture aims to provide a space for reflection and debate on current and relevant issues in consumer law, bringing together students, researchers and professionals interested in the legal transformations associated with credit and digital financial services.
