CEAD Francisco Suárez invites the entire academic community and all interested participants to attend the Open Lecture “Bank Guarantees: Independent Guarantee and Endorsement — Controversies and Perspectives”, to be held on November 10, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., in Room C2.2.
The session will feature Professor Maria Emília Teixeira, PhD, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Portucalense Infante D. Henrique, whose research and teaching experience stand out in the fields of Commercial Law and the Law of Obligations.
This Open Lecture will address the legal framework of bank guarantees, with a special focus on the independent guarantee and the endorsement, examining their main doctrinal and case-law controversies, as well as the evolving trends and future perspectives of these instruments within the contemporary legal and economic context.
