CEAD announces the International Conference – Digital Law, which will take place at ISMAT on May 16, 2025, in Room 1.1.
The approval of Directive 2019/770, already transposed in Portugal and Spain, implies the creation of a new, apparently autonomous contractual figure, the digital services contract, conferring a new legal status to the contracting of these services. This international conference will focus on this and other matters, namely those related to the influence, already verified or foreseeable, of artificial intelligence on the legal systems of Portugal and Spain, which gives initial implementation to the Cooperation Protocol, already signed, between ISMAT and the University of Extremadura (Faculty of Law of Cáceres).
The Conference is intended for students, researchers, legal and technology professionals, as well as anyone interested in the legal transformations driven by digital innovation. It will be a unique opportunity to deepen knowledge, exchange experiences, and keep up with the trends shaping the contemporary legal world.
