International Colloquium - Thinking the Legal Philosophy of Francisco Suárez Today

CEAD Francisco Suárez will host, on November 18, the International Colloquium “Thinking the Legal Philosophy of Francisco Suárez Today”, an academic event dedicated to contemporary reflections on the philosophical and legal legacy of Francisco Suárez, one of the central figures of modern scholastic thought.
The colloquium will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the José Araújo Auditorium, with an opening session and presentations focusing on Suárez’s influence on philosophy of law and political theory.
The afternoon session will take place in Room N.1.10, starting at 2:30 p.m., continuing the debate on the relevance and contemporary significance of Suárez’s thought in legal and philosophical contexts.
Participation in the afternoon session requires prior registration, with a limited number of spots available (15).
The event will bring together national and international scholars and offers a unique opportunity to deepen the dialogue between tradition and modernity in the field of legal philosophy.
