Miguel Furtado holds a Master’s degree in Law and serves as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, Universidade Lusófona de Lisboa. His distinguished professional background spans roles as a lawyer, consultant, manager, university professor, researcher, and trainer, with expertise in diverse fields including law, economics, management, political science, public policy, and public administration.
Academically, he holds a pre-Bologna Law degree (5 years) with a graduate specialization in legal-economic/business studies, a pre-Bologna Master’s degree in Management and Law, and has completed coursework for two doctoral programs, one in Political Science and another in Law.
He has been a university lecturer in Law for two decades and has directed numerous postgraduate legal courses during this time. He has also served as a jury member for final projects and dissertations and is a frequent conference speaker. Miguel is the author of various scientific works in the field of law and has an extensive portfolio of articles published in the media.
