João Carlos Almeida Vidal holds a Law degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Lisbon, a postgraduate degree in Business Management from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Algarve, and a PhD in Tourism from the same institution. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of the Balearic Islands, Spain.
A practicing lawyer since 1994, he has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Algarve since 1999 and has taught in the Law program at ISMAT (Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes) since 2019. He is the co-author of several books on Tourism Law.
