Joana Neto completed her PhD in Private Law Studies in April 2024 at the Faculty of Law of the Nova University of Lisbon. She earned her Master’s Degree in Labor and Corporate Law from ISCTE-IUL in 2017, a postgraduate degree in Labor Law from IDET – Institute of Labor and Corporate Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra in 2012, and a Law Degree in 2006 from the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto. She is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law and Political Science at Lusófona University - University Center of Porto, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the School of Law of the University of Minho. Her academic and professional path has primarily focused on the analysis and study of Labor Law and related legal areas, particularly Insolvency Law and Corporate Recovery.
