Conceição Soares Fatela is a Doctor of Law, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law of Lusófona University in Lisbon, and a practicing lawyer and consultant. She has served as a trainer for judges on financial leasing at the Center for Judicial Studies (CEJ). She is a consultant at the law firm NPCF e Associados in Lisbon. For over 10 years, she coordinated the Legal Department, Credit Recovery, Litigation, Records, and Insurance of a financial institution specializing in financial leasing and factoring. She held directorial positions in legal departments of two banks. For over 12 years, she chaired the legal committee of ALF – the Portuguese Association of Leasing, Factoring, and Renting, representing this association on the Legal Committee of Leaseurope – the European Federation of Leasing Companies. She is a researcher and author of various legal articles in the areas of financial leasing and VAT.
