Carolina Silva

Carolina Porto da Silva is a Tax Technology Specialist. She previously served as a Junior Regulatory Counsel and Junior Researcher at the NOVA Tax Research Lab, gaining experience in the fields of taxation, technology, and regulatory law.

She is a PhD candidate in Public Law at Universidade Lusófona – Centro Universitário de Lisboa. She holds a Master’s degree in Business and Technology Law from NOVA School of Law, where she completed her dissertation on “The Establishment of Tax Residence and COVID-19: from the temporary challenge to the permanent reality,” and a Law degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon.

Author of publications in the areas of VAT and International Tax Law, her work has focused particularly on the intersection of taxation, technological innovation, and contemporary legal challenges.
