António Amado holds a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages and Literatures with a specialization in Portuguese/English since 1985 and a degree in Law since 2002. He has been a University Professor of Law since that time, consistently teaching in Higher Education in the areas of Public and Private Law. He holds a Ph.D. in Law and is a specialist in Tax Law and Commercial Law, in which he obtained his doctoral degree. He is also a Trainer and Mediator of Conflicts, authorized to practice this role in the Peace Courts and has trained dozens of Conflict Mediators. Additionally, he holds a senior position at the Tax and Customs Authority (AT), where he works as a Legal Expert in the Discipline Division.
