Ana Cristina Lacerda Almas has been a lawyer since 1996 and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona – Centro Universitário do Porto (CUP). She teaches at the Faculty of Economic, Social and Business Sciences (FCESE) in the areas of Business Law and Labor Law, and at the Faculty of Law and Political Science (FDCP), where she teaches Introduction to Law and Public International Law. She is a PhD candidate in Law at Universidade Lusófona, Centro Universitário de Lisboa (CUL), conducting research in the fields of Environmental Law, Circular Economy, and the regulation of specific waste streams. She holds a Master’s degree in Private Law from Universidade Católica Portuguesa and a postgraduate degree in Environmental Law from Universidade Lusíada. In parallel, she works as a legal consultant for companies in the areas of environment and sustainability, and contributes to publications on Political Science and International Relations, as well as to scientific articles published in academic journals.
