Liberalism in Portugal, taking place in the year of the double centenary of the first Portuguese constitution, is part of the context of scientific research on the precipitating causes of the 1820 revolution and the structuring of the contemporary State.
The session organised by the Vice-rectory for University and Cultural Extension and the Saber & Poder – Constelações da Lusofonia Tertúlia will begin with words from the Vice-rector, Professor Carlos Alberto Poiares, followed by the presentation of the work by the author, Professor Rui Albuquerque, and a debate. Finally the participation of the Cofac Group Administrator, Professor Manuel de Almeida Damásio.
