We announce and invite the entire scientific and academic community to participate in the 2nd Seminar 'Domestic Violence: A Multidisciplinary Reflection Beyond Crime,' to be held on March 5th at Lusófona University - University Center of Porto (Salão Nobre).
Domestic violence continues to be a particularly serious social issue, not only in Portugal but also elsewhere. It is a complex phenomenon, both due to its consequences for the victims and their families, and because of its multifaceted causes, which are often challenging to grasp even with the most accurate criminological analysis. In this context, CEAD, in partnership with CeiED, is organizing a second seminar as part of the research project VDCrim - 'Domestic Violence: a multidisciplinary reflection beyond crime,' bringing together researchers from different fields of knowledge (Criminal Law, Forensic Psychology, and Education Sciences) to discuss, from a holistic and critical perspective, the main challenges in this matter and the possible horizon of solutions.
