Vasco Becker-Weinberg

Vasco Becker-Weinberg holds a Doctor of Law degree and is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law of the Universidade Lusófona, where he teaches Public International Law, European Union Law, Constitutional Law, Fundamental Rights, and Constitutional Justice. He is also a guest assistant professor at the NOVA School of Law and co-coordinator of the Master's program in Law and Economics of the Sea, where he teaches Maritime Law, International Tribunals, and European Maritime Law.

He is a researcher at the CEAD - Centro de Investigação Francisco Suárez at the Faculty of Law of the Universidade Lusófona, CEDIS - Centro de Investigação & Desenvolvimento sobre Direito e Sociedade at the NOVA School of Law, and CIDP - Centro de Investigação de Direito Público at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. He also collaborates with various national and foreign universities and research centers in the field of Maritime Law and has authored several publications. He has practiced law, worked as a researcher at the International Max Planck Research School for Maritime Affairs at the University of Hamburg, and served as an advisor to the Secretary of State for Maritime Affairs in the XIX Constitutional Government.
