Luís Manuel Lopes Branco Pica has a PhD in Public Legal Sciences from the School of Law at the University of Minho with the highest distinction of 'Very Good'. He is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law of the Lusófona University of Lisbon and an Invited Associate Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Beja. He teaches in the area of Tax and Fiscal Law with a special focus on Social Security Law, Law of Obligations, and Civil Procedural Law. His areas of interest include also Executive Process and new technologies related to Artificial Intelligence.He is an author of books and articles, and a speaker at lectures related to Tax Law, Social Security Law, and Law and Artificial Intelligence.
