Doctoral

The CEAD Francisco Suárez, as an organic research unit, offers a Doctoral Programme in Law.

The Doctoral Programme has a duration of four years and is divided into two parts: one academic part (1st year) and a part centered around the preparation and submission of the doctoral thesis (remaining years). The programme offers three specializations: Criminal Law, Private Law, and Public Law.

The 3rd cycle doctoral programme in Law fulfills an essential role in the pursuit of our goals at CEAD of promoting and creating scientific knowledge through advancing legal research at the Lusófona University. To achieve this, among the Invited Researchers that make up CEAD, we find many doctoral students who begin their contributions to scientific knowledge right away from the 1st year and, in doing so, enhance their research skills, building solid foundations for their careers.
